Importance of Mindfulness

Triva Hall walks us through the importance of mindfulness, and how to tap into our emotions. Mindfulness can: help relieve stress, treat heart disease, lower blood pressure, reduce chronic pain, improve sleep, and alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties. Mindfulness also improves mental health.

It’s okay, not to be okay.

When things get quiet…we start thinking…and emotions kick in. Emotion regulation is the ability to exert control over one's own emotional state. It may involve behaviors such as rethinking a challenging situation to reduce anger or anxiety, hiding visible signs of sadness or fear, or focusing on reasons to feel happy or calm. Learn how to let go of the things, you can not control.

Simply be you.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:18. Trivia continues to discuss the importance of authenticity, genuine and true just like Jesus. Don’t pretend to love others, truly love them.

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”
